Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Acacia has long been one of the most popular tonewoods used on higher end ukuleles and it's easy to see why. Visually striking and tonally rich, each piece of acacia has its own characteristics, making each instrument built with it unique. For our Kohala Deluxe series, we have paired the all acacia body with abalone style purfling and rosette and flame maple binding. The installed UK-500T pickup system includes a built in tuner with 3-band EQ and is powered by included lightweight CR2032 batteries. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including solid acacia top for greater volume and better tone, bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.

Kohala Series
The Kohala has all of the aesthetic upgrades of the Mano, including solid top, maple binding, gold tuners, and dual strap pins, but it’s built with acacia wood instead of mahogany. Acacia is revered for its beautiful, full tone and we’ve added abalone-style trim around the body.

Currently the most popular body size, the concert ukulele is slightly longer, and the body is slightly bigger than the soprano, at 24". This provides a bit more space for fingers on the fingerboard. It will sound quite similar, tonally, to the soprano, but the slightly larger body will produce a little more volume and depth thanks to the larger resonating chamber. We suggest the concert model for anyone seeking the traditional ukulele tone, but who may be a little more comfortable with a bigger body.

This was a gift to myself as I wanted a solid top uke and it did not disappoint. The tone and sound was as expected and the workmanship is great. Looking forward to many hours of enjoyment.
Beautiful ukulele. I'm very pleased with the sound and the look of this uke.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase. The build quality is good. I find the A string to be a little weak in volume. You have to really attack to draw out the sound. Perhaps an adjustment or different set of strings would solve that issue. I purchased it with a low G string and I'm really enjoying the different options when playing it. I also ordered a deluxe gig bag and I'm quite happy with it.
What a beautiful ukulele! The feel of the wood on the neck is a softness I never expected. The built in pick up and tuner is precisely what I needed for my performance. It arrived with the perfect amount of time to test it out prior to playing in front of an audience. The abalone inlay is just gorgeous, the sound is so warm and it just wants to be strummed. I am very satisfied with my purchase!
Took a Hawaiian cruise. Spent 10 days at the ukulele lessons offered by the cruiseship with a really good guy Bryan from the islands. Met 2 fellow musicians who were extremely talented in other areas but not the uke
Enjoyed it so much. Joe recommended Honolua Ukulele in Calgary and Dave Simpson to help in buying one
He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Obviously loves his craft. Bought a hard top electric uke. Love it. The sound is amazing. Feels like back on the islands
Thank you Dave
