Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Acacia has long been one of the most popular tonewoods used on higher end ukuleles and it's easy to see why. Visually striking and tonally rich, each piece of acacia has its own characteristics, making each instrument built with it unique. For our Kohala Deluxe series, we have paired the all acacia body with abalone style purfling and rosette and flame maple binding. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including solid acacia top for greater volume and better tone, bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Kohala Series
The Kohala has all of the aesthetic upgrades of the Mano, including solid top, maple binding, gold tuners, and dual strap pins, but it’s built with acacia wood instead of mahogany. Acacia is revered for its beautiful, full tone and we’ve added abalone-style trim around the body.

This electric baritone ukulele looks fantastic and acoustically sounds so beautiful with mellow tones. I tried other baritone ukulele brands before getting this one and I think this one is the best in sound and in price :)
Nice baritone ukulele. Very full sound. Fit and finish is good.
A great starter or intermediate baritone ukulele.
Thank you for a wonderful instrument.
First let me say Dave (owner) was great to deal with. I received an outdated discount by mistake ( computer glitch). When I called him because the system wouldn’t accept the code, he told me it was an old code, but he honored it for me. He didn’t have to do that, but it says a lot about him and his company. I have called him twice and he answered both times. That’s rare these days.
Shipping was awful. Took 9 days once it shipped. The box was completely torn in half on three sides. I was totally surprised there was no damage. Really needs a more sturdy box for shipping.
My only complaint about the Ike is that the “B” string sounds dead (slightly muted) on the first three frets, even after changing strings, although it’s not as bad as the first two ukes I ordered from others, which were returned.
The finish and quality are pretty nice. If it wasn’t for the dead string, I would give it 5 stars. I’m keeping it👍 I’m 67 years old. This is my new retirement hobby.
So pleased with the performance aspects of this instrument. The design features make it comfortable to play. The silky smooth neck and mellow voice are exactly what I was hoping for.
The quality of fine detail and finishing are somewhat disappointing. Some examples are uneven abalone, binding on back does not align with the back centre line at the neck heel And saw marks not sanded smooth on the back. However that said I love playing this uke and would not consider giving it back. Great value so far.
