Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toe into the ukulele water, our Honu series was designed to provide as much instrument as we could at an entry level price. The all sapele construction provides a warm tone, similar to that of mahogany, but the Honu is more durable and less susceptible to humidity and temperature changes than our solid top models, the Mano and Kohala. The installed UK-500T pickup system includes a built in tuner with 3-band EQ and is powered by included lightweight CR2032 batteries. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Honu Series
Our Honu Series is perfect for the beginner ukulele player. The all-laminate sapele construction provides a full, bright tone and the laminate construction means it is durable and less susceptible to humidity changes. Aesthetically, it’s fairly simple, but it never compromises on sound quality.

Got my new HONOLUA Baritone overnight , loving the built in tuner , the factory strings are great and was off playing great sounds right out of the box - Highly recommend this Baritone - great price and quality
Amazing instrument ! I don’t know how Honolua make that quality of instrument. I tried other brand of ukes at twice the price and feel nothing. Honolua’s ukes really sound ! I have already a Honu tenor and now I fall in love with my new Honu baritone. Just can’t stop playing it ! I think the only thing to be improve is the shipping package, for each ukes I buy the box came damaged. Fortunately the instruments was intact.
I am not very knowledgeable about ukeleles, but when I did the survey and found this baritone I was so excited to receive it because I struggle to fit my arms around my guitar when I play it. It has great sound, and most of all is much easier for me to hold. I am super excited to continue learning to play this new instrument to me and the free ebook was super helpful.
Great product for the price. Nice and light to hold. Lovely colour. Lovely sound. Smooth finishes. I like that it comes with fret markings on the side of the neck. Tuners feel nice. Having just purchased this, I haven't changed strings yet but I think the pin bridge style will make string changes a lot easier than tie bridges. I'm really looking forward to getting into the baritone world with this uke!
Only thing I think could be improved is a longer zipper opening on the gig bag. I think if you could open the bag more it'd be easier to lay the uke into it. Not a big deal though as the bag is still nice, with a little pocket on the front and a shoulder strap and carrying handle.
