Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toe into the ukulele water, our Honu series was designed to provide as much instrument as we could at an entry level price. The all sapele construction provides a warm tone, similar to that of mahogany, but the Honu is more durable and less susceptible to humidity and temperature changes than our solid top models, the Mano and Kohala. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Honu Series
Our Honu Series is perfect for the beginner ukulele player. The all-laminate sapele construction provides a full, bright tone and the laminate construction means it is durable and less susceptible to humidity changes. Aesthetically, it’s fairly simple, but it never compromises on sound quality.

I play the soprano Ukulele, and I was unsure whether I would like playing the baritone. I ended up buying this one, and I absolutely love it! The ukulele has a great sound for its price and I love they include a gig bag and ebook. I would also like to add that although my ukulele arrived with a small blemish, the customer support was great, and as I live in the same city as Dave, he even brought me a replacement himself!
And IMHO the baritone works better for some songs than a tenor or concert
The ukulele is well put together, action is just right. The dotted bridge pins are a nice visual touch. The bowed back (a very welcome feature to improve the sound), the dressed fret ends are something I do not have on my two name brand ukuleles. The built-in tuner on my acoustic electric works great. It’s been a few weeks now, the strings are settled in; I was wailing on it yesterday at a jam and the baritone did very well staying in tune.
An advantage I didn’t expect: “The Mary Ellen Carter”, “Sudbury Saturday Night”, etc. seem to come off better with the baritone than my tenor or concert IMHO. I also found some finger picking numbers easier on the baritone – my fingers like the wider space between frets. I’ll keep my tenor / concert for “Ukulele Lady”, “Muskrat Love”, “Diana”, and jazz numbers. But the baritone for letting loose.
Baritone Uke
I enjoy the sound quality + ambience. All seems as reasonable quality especially considering price.
Gig bag fits well + very handy.
E-book an appreciated bonus.

Great value for the price! Instrument sounds great. Very fast shipping to Ontario. My only suggestion would be to beef up the shipping protection inside the box , say some rigid (recycled) cardboard. Shipping inside the gig bag is very smart, but packaging overall needs to be more sturdy. Happy with my purchase.
I play guitar and Ukulele, and recently decided to add a Baritone to my collection. After doing much research, I decided to try this one. I am happy with it even thought I never got to try it in person before buying. It was what I expected and company was very quick to answer my questions. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get into baritones without spending a fortune. Works well plugged in too.
