Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Acacia has long been one of the most popular tonewoods used on higher end ukuleles and it's easy to see why. Visually striking and tonally rich, each piece of acacia has its own characteristics, making each instrument built with it unique. For our Kohala Deluxe series, we have paired the all acacia body with abalone style purfling and rosette and flame maple binding. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including solid acacia top for greater volume and better tone, bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Kohala Series
The Kohala has all of the aesthetic upgrades of the Mano, including solid top, maple binding, gold tuners, and dual strap pins, but it’s built with acacia wood instead of mahogany. Acacia is revered for its beautiful, full tone and we’ve added abalone-style trim around the body.

Currently the most popular body size, the concert ukulele is slightly longer, and the body is slightly bigger than the soprano, at 24". This provides a bit more space for fingers on the fingerboard. It will sound quite similar, tonally, to the soprano, but the slightly larger body will produce a little more volume and depth thanks to the larger resonating chamber. We suggest the concert model for anyone seeking the traditional ukulele tone, but who may be a little more comfortable with a bigger body.

Have some problems with my ukulele but they were able to resolve the problem with a fast response even if I’m in Ontario. Hence, I am really thankful to Dave as I am able to continue enjoying my great ukulele! Highly recommended
I bought this Concert Ukulele as a gift for my husband. Unfortunately there was a little defect in the wood. I contacted the seller. He was very accommodating and exchanged it to another one. The second one has no flaws and sounds so sweet. My husband loves it. It is much more comfortable to play for the person with bigger hands comparing to a soprano one. This is a nice looking instrument and has wonderful sound. It is definitely worth buying. I do recommend it.
It’s a beautiful instrument and sounds very nice. Happy to make this purchase. I wanted to find a good quality ukulele and did some research before deciding to pick one from Honolua. I liked their concept of providing a better and affordable one. Playing the ukulele will be one of my favourites in my downtime!
I received my ukulele within the week of ordering it. It is beautiful and sounds great. Love the ebook that came with it. Can't wait to join our weekly community ukulele group.
My Kohala Deluxe uke from Honoluau is amazing! I previously used a different brand before this one, and could immediately tell the difference in quality between the two. As a Canadian, I love that Honolua is also Canadian! And being left handed, I greatly appreciated that they had the option of getting any model as left handed, which solidified my decision to try out their ukes. My wife loved my new ukulele, and a couple days after receiving my Kohala concert uke, she decided on getting a Honolua limited edition ebony soprano as her first ukulele ever! Both of our ukuleles look and sound beautiful, and I think we made awesome choices.
